Sport: New source of funding for Stowmarket area clubs

Suffolk Sport has launched a new web tool to help sports clubs find funding
While many in the world of sport are dreaming of Olympic and Paralympic success next year, many grassroots sports clubs are more concerned with ensuring their club can raise the funds necessary to provide extra training sessions, new kit or equipment or even improved facilities now.
The County Sports Partnership for Suffolk, has teamed up with web company Idox Information Solutions to provide a new, free service for local sports clubs in Suffolk. The web-based search tool on its website allows sports clubs throughout the Stowmarket area to search for new funding streams.
Suffolk Sport business development manager Tony Bush said: “This is another great service Suffolk Sport is providing for local sports clubs.
"We realise that accessing funding is one of the key issues for grass roots community sports clubs and the new funding search will help clubs find new funds and we can also offer help and advice when they apply”
“The search tool is completely free to use, all that is required is a quick registration on the Suffolk Sport website.”
Idox Information Solutions business development manager Daniel Andrews said: “The software takes users through an easy step-by-step process so that they can quickly identify the funds most relevant to their project.
"Our funding information is fully maintained by a team of in-house researchers so clubs can be sure they are accessing the very latest funding information.”
