Plenty of golfers managed to get time on the Stowmarket Golf Club greens before the snow fell across the region.The November Sunday Texas scramble proved extremely popular with 108 players, in 27 teams, involved.
Winners on the day were D Daniel, K Last, C George and C Daniel with 55.0 points.
The Ladies November Stableford was extremely close with Sylvia Pearce squeezing to the Division One first place on countback after scoring 29 points. Linda Gilham and Jane Darling matched her 29 but missed out on countback.
It was the same in Division Two, where Sue Knights' 26 was the same as Katie Hitchcock's score but the former won through.
No such close finish in Division Three though. Jennie Spall scored 31, four better than second-placed Charlotte Wallace.
