There are five items of interest to Stowmarket area readers in today’s edition of the Bury Free Press.
There is a report and pictures from Stowmarket Tennis Academy’s clash with Culford and details of Stowmarket Badminton Club’s December activities, albeit the club has been renamed Stowbridge!
Despite a lack of on-green action, Stowmarket Golf Club gets two mentions with news that long-serving Paul Lilly is retiring after 17 years in charge of the kitchen. There are also details of two holes-in-one struck on the Onehouse course during the year.
Engine builders AB Performance, of Buxhall, also get a mention in the motor sport column, with their Sabre RGB making some promising appearances during the year and offering plenty to look forward to in 2011- Some sports reports are on the Bury Free Press website, or you can buy the paper for 70p at outlets throughout the area.
