Darts: Captain's display from Stowmarket's Talbot helps county to convincing win

Suffolk recorded a 22-14 victory over Nottinghamshire at Stowmarket's Riverside Club in their seventh match of the British Inter-Counties Championships 2010/11 season, sponsored by Rileys
The ladies B team earned a respectable 3-3 draw, thanks to wins from Lisa Terrington (3-0, 15.66 average), Leanne Topper (3-1, 15.17) and lady of the match Sue Thompson (3-0, 17.28).
The men’s B team also drew, 6-6.  The winning men were Mark Woodger (3-2, 22.21), Phil Reeve (3-0, 17.89), man of the match Carl Brennan (3-2, 24.33), Ian Randles (3-1, 20.45), Dan Tatum (3-1, 23.58) and, on his debut, Marc Patrick (3-0, 21.47).
All square at the start of Sunday’s A matches, the ladies got things off to a great start winning 5-1, courtesy of Laura Cooper (3-2, 15.78), Jean Prewitt (3-1, 14.38), Rossy Scriven (3-2, 15.32), Nicky Doidge (3-1, 15.69) and lady of the match, team captain Sue Talbot (3-1, 17.93) from Stowmarket.
Following a great performance the previous month against Dorset, the men's A team form continued as they saw off their opponents 8-4 to earn the overall win.  
The winners were Dave Ballard-Flatt (3-0, 29.47), Phil Westwood (3-0, 28.90), Dean Barker (3-2, 20.84), David Mayhew (3-2, 25.31), man of the match Daniel Willimott (3-2, 30.40), Lee Topper (3-2, 25.60), Kevin Harris (3-1, 23.26) and Andrew Gilding (3-1, 26.84).
