Bowls: Royal suffers pairs knockout

Stowmarket's Mark Royal and partner Janice Gower lost this morning's Mixed Pairs World Matchplay Championship match to Ian Bond and Julie Forrest 8-4, 10-2 at Hopton-on-Sea.

It leaves Royal with just the Singles championship to play for.
He is due to play Nick Brett in the second round on Tuesday.
