The Stowmarket area's young sporting stars were honoured at the Mid Suffolk Sports Development presentation evening.
Twenty-six sporting youngsters from across the council district were honoured at the Cedars Hotel, Combs Ford, receiving certificates and a grant towards their sporting needs.Stow motor racing ace Josh Webster, Stow Swimming Club member Will Blackaby and Benjamin Mead (basketball) received national level awards and regional level award winners included Hogan Cobbold (bowls), Ryan Clay (swimming) and Samantha Witherall (artistic roller skating).
County level award winners included Stowmarket bowls player Aidan Riches, footballers Beth Lincoln, of Onehouse, and Stowmarket's Samantha Carson and Ellie Rossiter, Stowmarket's Isabel Lucas (badminton), Dale Watling (cricket), Jordan Murton (rugby), Helena Coe and Hannah Maher (athletics), Kristian Williman and Kate Thompson (cricket) and Chloe Winchester (show jumping).
