Stowmarket Town suffered a 2-1 defeat at Thetford Town this evening in the quarter-final of the Ridgeons League First Division Cup.
The teams were level at 1-1 after 90 minutes but it was the hosts who found the winner in extra-time to join Gorleston in the last four, along with the winners of Wednesday's matches between Long Melford and Godmanchester and Saffron Walden and Whitton.

Saturday sees second-placed Stow at Division One leaders Cambridge University Press and next Tuesday brings another cup night with a home match against Team Bury in the League Cup.
