Stowmarket Town cannot afford any complacency on Saturday when they make their long-awaited return to Ridgeons League home action.
Fakenham Town are the visitors to Greens Meadow, 3pm, but two of the Norfolk strugglers' four wins this season have come against high-flying opposition – Gorleston and Diss Town.
Stow have not played a league game since drawing 1-1 at Ipswich Wanderers on January 3 and their last home match was way back on November 20, eight weeks ago, a 3-1 win against the same opponents. That absence from the action has allowed leaders Cambridge University Press to open a four-point gap, although Town have two games in hand.
There is a full programme of action in the Kingsley Healthcare Suffolk & Ipswich League and Sunday's big game sees Stowupland Falcons travel to Bungay Town in the quarter-finals of the Suffolk FA Veterans Cup.
