Stowmarket Striders runner Tamara Jordan notched up an impressive scalp on her way to victory in the third leg of the Suffolk Winter League Cross Country meeting at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds.
She finished ahead of former Olympic Games marathon runner Sally Eastall. Eastall ran for her former club St Edmunds Pacers, where the 48-year-old 1990 Olympian is an honorary member, and came home ninth.
But Jordan will have been more pleased to beat Jo Coates., who had finished ahead of her to win the Haughley Park leg of the event.
Jordan finished in 34mins 06secs, 17 seconds ahead of the St Edmunds pacers runner.
The fourth leg of the series is at Ditchingham, near Bungay, on Sunday.
