Mark Royal is through to the final of the Welsh Grand Prix in Swansea.
The Stowmarket bowler pulled off an 8-8, 7-4, win over reigning champion and No 1 seed Darren Burnett this morning.
Royal led the opening set 4-0 but ended up with a share of the points after the Scottish policeman hit back to draw 8-8.
Royal made another solid start to the second set to lead 3-0. Burnett pulled back to 3-2 but 2008 champion Royal managed to stay in front to secure a place in this afternoon's final, 2.30pm.
His opponent is Scotsman David Gourlay, runner-up in 2003 and 2006, who beat City of Ely's Greg Harlow 6-6, 6-5, in the other semi-final.
