Stowmarket’s Mark Royal is through to the semi-finals of the Welsh Grand Prix after a fine comeback in Swansea today to beat Jonathan Ross.
Royal lost the first set 10-9 and things looked grim when he trailed 4-0 in the second.
But the Mid-Suffolk IBC player dug deep to level the match with a 9-7 win and then took the tie-break decider 2-0.
He now plays the No 1 seed, Scottish policeman Darren Burnett, tomorrow for a place in the final.
The other semi-final sees City of Ely’s World No 2 Greg Harlow take on David Gourlay to complete a pair of East Anglia versus Scotland ties.
