A hat-trick from David Thompson, right, ensured Stowupland Falcons are the first team through to the semi-finals of the Norfolk & Suffolk Veterans League Cup.Two of the other quarter-finals were postponed, while there was also still an outstanding third round tie to be completed.
Thompson's treble, together with a goal from Neil Cole, earned Falcons a 4-2 win over Division Three North title-chasers Scole United and secured a last four tie against either Woodbridge Town or Brantham Athletic.
Falcons have so far seen off the challenges of The Brickies (walkover), FC Fore Hamlet (2-0), Chilton (3-1) and Scole to reach this stage.
