Football: Choice of three big games for fans to watch

There is a choice of big matches for local football fans to watch on Saturday.
It is second versus fourth in the Ridgeons First Division at Greens Meadow, where Stowmarket Town welcome Ipswich Wanderers.
In the Suffolk Senior Cup, Haughley United have the chance of a giant-killing against the Ridgeons League’s last remaining club in the competition, Whitton United. Whitton had gone 13 games without defeat but in the past week have been knocked out of both the FA Vase and League Cup and Haughley will be keen to complete an unhappy hat-trick for their Ipswich-based visitors.
Old Newton United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they welcome Capel Plough. Since winning their first three games of the season, United have won just one of the nine games since – an 8-3 Suffolk Cup win at Brandon.
