Football: Snow show for Cedars Park

Cedars Park 1 AFC Crowley Reserves 3
Cedars Park beat the snow but not Crowley as their hard work in getting the Den pitch ready for play backfired.
The visitors took advantage of their first team not being in action with several players drafted in to strengthen their ranks.
But it was Cedars Park who had the majority of the play. The only difference was that while the Needham Market-based side took their chances, The Lions wasted theirs.
The visitors went ahead after only two minutes when first-team striker Lee Upson netted but it should have been all square four minutes later when Tommy Lankester burst free, only for the tall No 10 to shoot straight at goalkeeper Daley Youngs.

A bad-tempered first half then saw three Crowley players booked, along with home captain Tom Jacobs, either side of Charlie Morgan making it 2-0 with a deflected shot from the edge of the area.
Lankester set up another chance for the Lions to get back into the game on the stroke of half-time when he rounded former Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Youngs but no-one was in the middle to convert the loose ball.
In stoppage time, Liam Edwards' shot from a tight angle beat Youngs but could only find the side-netting.
Two minutes into the second half Lankester was gifted the opportunity to get the Lions back into the game when Youngs fluffed a clearance straight to him but his shot was straight back into the grateful goalkeeper's arms.

Lankester then rounded Youngs but again his pass into the danger area found no waiting team-mate and the hosts were made to pay when Charlie Morgan scored on the break.
Half-time substitute goalkeeper James Bouldin pulled off a fine save with his legs from a corner before Stephen Holland converted Lankester's cross to give Cedars Park some hope.
Arron Hall sent a 30-yard effort fizzing narrowly over but it was Crowley who had the final chance when Upson crossed for Steven Harvey but he directed his point-blank header over the bar with the goal gaping.
