Paper Talk: Stowmarket sport in the local media (Bury Free Press)

Stowmarket Golf Club Ladies make front page news in today’s Bury Free Press.
They are pictured handing over a cheque for more than £4,500 to Riding for the Disabled.
Lots of Stowmarket sportsmen and women feature elsewhere in the paper with sports editor Derek Bish at Greens Meadow to cover Stowmarket Town’s 4-0 victory over Swaffham last Saturday. His report includes pictures and comments from manager Steve Jay.
Racing driver Josh Webster features prominently after his double race win at Snetterton, covered earlier this week on Stowmarket Sport, and there is a picture and report from Stowmarket Cycling Club’s hill-climb victories at Sudbury.
Stowmarket Golf Club’s new lady captain Sylvia Pearce makes an arresting sight at her drive-in and results from the club are also listed.
There is a report on Stowmarket RUFC’s Junior Vase defeat at HAC as well as news from West Suffolk College’s defeat against Framlingham at Chilton Fields and details of a minis festival at Bury St Edmunds involving Stow, Bury and St Neots.
Youth football reports include Stowmarket Town and Stowupland Falcons Under-10s.
