Paper Talk: Stowmarket sport in the local media (Bury Free Press)


There are nine lots of Stowmarket area-related sports stories in today’s Bury Free Press.
Pride of place goes to the town’s Under15s badminton team, who are pictured after following the example set by the U17s a week earlier to win their division of the Suffolk Junior League at Framlingham.
There are reports from Stowmarket Town and Stowmarket RUFC’s weekend victories, as well as details of junior football defeats for Stowmarket Town U11s and U10s.
A feature looks at new Suffolk Football Association chief executive Phil Knight, who is based at the county headquarters in Stowmarket.
Results include the Stowmarket and District Friendly and Ingham and District Darts Leagues, while there is also a report on Stowmarket Jaguars defeat to Thurston Spitfires in the Bury St Edmunds and District Table Tennis League.
