Stowmarket racing driver Josh Webster dominated the BARC Class on the opening weekend of the Michelin Formula Renault Winter Championship at his home track, Snetterton, on Saturday.
He raced to a pair of faultless race victories, two fastest laps and a new lap record.
The 16-year-old, who has turned a lot of heads throughout his maiden year of car racing action, was in a class of his own in the BARC contest and never looked likely to be challenged as he won rounds one and two by nine and 15 seconds respectively.

Driving for crack squad Fortec Motorsport , he heads to Pembrey for the winter series finale next weekend with a six point class lead.
“Snetterton was absolutely fantastic”, said the MSA Academy and A-level student. “I want to say a huge thank you to the team for giving me a great car as always. Qualifying didn’t go according to plan as we were on the wrong tyres but in the races I was able to show my true pace.
"Two wins is a perfect way to start the winter series and to set a new BARC lap record was the icing on the cake."
Webster thanked his sponsors for their on-going support and added: "Special thanks go to James Palmer of Nine Telecom Group and Graham McMullen of Admiral Solutions and Support for helping me race in the winter series and also to Doodson Broking Group for their valuable contribution.”
