Athletics: Shirley takes animal welfare in her stride

A Stowmarket Striders runner is taking to the lanes of Buxhall next month to do her bit for the animal world.
Shirley Brame is running in the Joe Cox Half Marathon on March 27 to raise funds for the RSPCA Centre at Martlesham, which is under threat.
In a report in today's East Anglian Daily Times. Mrs Brame said she had previously done the run for Cancer Research and the British Heart Foundation and wasn't going to do it this year but changed her mind when she read about the plight of the animal welfare centre.
