Cycling: Stowmarket CC riders beat the frost

Most of last weekend's sport was frozen off but the hardy cyclists of Stowmarket revelled in the icy conditions.
Paul Moss was in action in Essex at the Redbridge Cycling Centre in the Eastern and South Eastern Cyclocross Championships.
He came a creditable 20th in the Veterans 40-plus category, battling his way through the mud of the Hog Hill course.
Elsewhere, Laura Sampson won the women's two-hour race in the Whyte Winter Series at Brandon Park in Thetford Forest. Her time of 2.25:07 was almost 20 seconds faster than the second-placed rider.
