Football: Fingers crossed for long-awaited return to action

The week’s slightly milder temperatures will leave local sides hopeful of a long-awaited return to action at the weekend.
Very few games have been played since November 20 but 12 of the area’s 13 teams are due to be in action on Saturday.
And Sunday sees Unicorn with another chance to improve their goal difference when they face whipping boys AFC Woodbridge.
Last week’s home game was postponed but this week they are due to play them away.

Saturday

Reserve North Division: Stowmarket Tn Res v Whitton Utd Res.

Senior Division: Old Newton Utd v Melton St Audry’s, Stanton v Haughley Utd.
Division 1: Stowupland Falcons v Ipswich Exiles.
Intermediate A: Melton St Audry’s Res v Old Newton Utd Res.
Intermediate B: Haughley Utd Res v Stanton Res.
Division 2: Salvation Army v Claydon.
Division 4: Coddenham v Salvation Army Res.
Division 5: Cedars Park v Old Newton Utd A.
Division 6: Stradbroke Utd Res v Cedars Park Res.

Sunday
Premier Division: AFC Woodbridge v Unicorn.
