Football: Stowmarket-area teams keen to get back into action

If the weather relents, there is a large programme of local football fixtures this weekend with Stowmarket Town at home to Halstead, looking to complete their first double of the season, having won 4-0 in Essex in October.
Also in home action are Stowupland Falcons and Haughley Unted, while there is a double-header at Chilton Fields. Salvation Army welcome SIL Division Two leaders Somersham and their Reserves take on second-placed Aldeburgh Town in Division Four.
On Sunday, Unicorn will be keen to get their game on. They are on a run of seven games without a win. But they face a disorganised AFC Woodbridge who have lost recent games 20-2 and 17-0, albeit fielding numerically short sides.
