If Stowmarket Town fail to gain promotion to the Premier Division of the Ridgeons League this season they could find themselves relegated to the SIL instead.
That is according to the Green Un’s Elvin King who has revealed concerns about the viability of the Ridgeons First Division to continue beyond this season.
With another team expected to leave to join the higher-level Ryman League, it would leave the lower division well down on its maximum number of 22 teams.
"There is a question mark about its future beyond next May with the Ridgeons League reverting back to just one division," said King.
