Football: Fingers crossed for escape from snow

Fingers will be firmly crossed that the Stowmarket area misses the latest band of snow sweeping the country.
Stowmarket Town will be keen to build on their remarkable week when they welcome Gorleston to Greens Meadow on Saturday. Town rattled up a league record 13-0 away win last weekend and followed that with a third victory over Premier Division opposition in the League Cup on Tuesday.
All other local clubs, bar Cedars Park, are also due to be in action this weekend before they enjoy a scheduled day off for Christmas next week.
