Football: Groundhoppers earmark Stowmarket for Bank Holiday double

If the weather relents, Stowmarket Town could be in for a bumper crowd for Monday's Ridgeons League match with Team Bury at Greens Meadow.

Unlike the majority of other games in the league, the match is due to start at 11am and will enable keen football fans to 'double up' with another game in the afternoon after sampling the delights of Stowmarket.
Non-League Matters, a popular 'Groundhopping' website, has already flagged up Stowmarket as the ideal first half of a Bank Holiday double and visitors from across the country can be expected to flock to Greens Meadow should the freezing temperatures abate in time.
